The coronavirus fever outburst in February 2020.
And we should have known since the beginning, as in mid-December the first news about the infection started to leak out from Wuhan, in China. We are experiencing globalization after all, where merchandises and people are constantly moving and diseases do travel accordingly. So, infection spread to the rest of Asia and has now reached Europe.
THE SITUATION IN ITALY
First, we must say the reaction of Italy has been timely. The Italian healthcare system, which is free and public, is often taken as an example for its best practices, and the expertise of the medical personnel has reached a worldwide recognition.
As we all know, prevention and verified information are the key to avoid infection.
What are then the symptoms of the new coronavirus? In 95% of the cases, high temperature and cough, and in 5% pneumonia and severe respiratory distress.
However we must point out what doctors have been claiming so far: the majority overcomes the disease with no need of any special healing.
